Our Fundraisers

We have many fundraisers to support our civic projects and garden club activities.
1) Bedford Day—The community of Bedford hosts an event the third Saturday of September each year. Clubs, churches, and other organizations participate and sell items from booths set up near the town hall. We sell mums, perennials, and garden-related craft items (see photo at left).
2) Garden Tour - On June 21 and 22, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. we are offering a tour of eleven private gardens in Bedford. Advance tickets are $20 and tour-day tickets are $25. They will be available in May at New England Nurseries at 216 Concord Road in Bedford.
3) Gardening Tips Booklet—This booklet is $2 and is a wonderful gift for beginning and seasoned gardeners. It is also available at Bedford Day and at our meetings.
4) Geranium and Perennial Sale-held on May 10, 2008 (day before Mother's Day) in front of the Department of Public Works.
5) Every couple of years we have a yard sale.
No longer available:
1) Bedford Botanical Brigade—This formidable and intrepid group of women used to be for hire in May and June and again in October and November for gardening tasks but as of Fall 2006 we no longer offer this service.
2) Cookbooks—We sold out of this great book.
